The Iraqi Cement Manufacturers Association, in cooperation with the international company Haver & Boecker, organized a workshop in Sulaymaniyah Governorate from April 22-24, 2025. The workshop reviewed the latest technologies used in cement filling machines and silos, the automation of filling equipment, the transition to a digital system, and the impact of technologies on improving production processes and reducing costs. Discussion sessions were also held on the future of the cement industry in Iraq and the problems facing manufacturing plants regarding filling machines and silos. Haver & Boecker presented its latest solutions, including the provision of a 24-hour electronic platform to address operational problems in plants and the provision of specialized site engineers for on-site inspection of plant faults. It also demonstrated its capabilities in providing spare parts for machines and equipment manufactured by other companies. The above-mentioned company also presented one of its latest solutions, an infrared camera that detects the contents of cement silos and provides solutions without the need to empty the silo.

The Cement Manufacturers Association was represented at this workshop by Mr. Raad Al-Kitan, a member of the Administrative Board, and the Association's Technical Advisor, Dr. Maher Faiq. They gave a presentation on the cement industry, the establishment of the Association, its goals and achievements, and the Association's vision for the current state of the cement industry in Iraq.

The presentation also included statistical tables prepared by the Association, including the production capacities of the public and private sectors, the distribution of factories across the map of Iraq, the percentage of production in each governorate, and the future vision for cement production in Iraq for the next five years.

The attendees and those in charge of this workshop praised the information provided in this lecture presented by the Association's delegation.
