The President of the Cement producers Association in Iraq an Engineer Ammar Raheem Abdullah Al-Saedi, participated in the first meeting of the Industrial Advisory Council at the College of Engineering, Al-Naji University. The meeting was held within the framework of strengthening collaboration between the industrial sector and academic institutions, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to enhance educational outcomes and align them with labor market needs.
During the meeting, the Association emphasized the importance of Forging strong partnerships between universities and the industrial sector, and preparing graduates with the skills required by today’s workplace through developing their English language proficiency computer skills, and practical Engineering programs These efforts aim to improve graduates’ employment opportunities within factories and industrial companies.
The meeting also discussed mechanisms for developing joint training and qualification programs that enable students to gain practical experience and better understand labor market requirements before graduation thereby contributing to the preparation of highly qualified engineering professionals capable of keeping pace with industrial developments and supporting Iraq’s sustainable development.
